This technique leads to low accuracy. The CPS has better estimation on the vehicle battery usage because of the consideration of road elevation, regenerative energy and accuracy on battery usage. Data is being tabulated from Google Earth where the road elevation is taken from the road map. The purpose is to design a method of extraction of the latitude, longitude and altitude from external sources such as Google Maps or Google Earth. The design will be able to obtain the destination of the user and compute the data and later display it out the estimation of distance able to be travelled by the user. Abstract

The conventional distance estimation system which is the Global Positioning System (GPS) has only used a constant speed and a constant level of road elevation for calculation purpose. This technique leads to low accuracy. The CPS has better estimation on the vehicle battery usage because of the consideration of road elevation, regenerative energy and accuracy on battery usage.
