Abstract

A metamaterial based subwavelength microwave absorber is presented in this paper. The proposed structure is resonating at five distinctive frequencies of 2.82 GHz, 6.93 GHz, 9.74 GHz, 10.60 GHz, and 14.13 GHz with 99.54 %, 74.93 %, 99.50 %, 99.79 %, and 99.66 % absorptivity, respectively. The unit cell of the proposed absorber fits in a small volume of 12 mm × 12 mm × 1.6 mm.
