The 30-day mortality risk was 2-fold higher for patients with TSH of 5.0-10.0 mIU/L (adjusted OR, 2.3; 95% CI 1.1-5.1), and 3-fold higher for those with TSH > 10.0 mIU/L (3.4; 95% CI 1.3-8.7). Long-term mortality risk was higher in patients with TSH of 5.0-10.0 and above 10.0 mIU/L (adjusted HR, 1.2; 95% CI, 1.0-1.6, and 1.7; 95% CI 1.2-2.4, respectively).
