Reliability Engineering & System Safety

Elsevier publishes Reliability Engineering & System Safety in association with the European Safety and Reliability Association and the Safety Engineering and Risk Analysis Division. The international journal is devoted to developing and applying methods to enhance the safety and reliability of complex technological systems, like nuclear power plants, chemical plants, hazardous waste facilities, space systems, offshore and maritime systems, transportation systems, constructed infrastructure, and manufacturing plants. The journal normally publishes only articles that involve the analysis of substantive problems related to the reliability of complex systems or present techniques and/or theoretical results that have a discernable relationship to the solution of such problems. An important aim is to balance academic material and practical applications.

Reliability Engineering & System Safety 是由爱思唯尔与欧洲安全与可靠性协会以及安全工程与风险分析部门联合出版的国际期刊。该期刊的目标在于研发和应用方法来提高复杂技术系统的安全性和可靠性，例如核电站、化工厂、危险废物设施、空间系统、近海和海事系统、运输系统、建筑基础设施和制造工厂。期刊通常只发表涉及复杂系统可靠性相关实质性问题的分析，或与此类问题的解决方案有明显关系的现有技术和/或理论结果的文章。其重要目标之一是平衡学术材料和实际应用。
