West China Medical Journal (monthly) is a comprehensive medical academic journal supervised by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and sponsored by Sichuan University. The purpose of the journal is to report the scientific research results of various medical specialties and related disciplines, the experience of diagnosis and treatment of various departments of clinical medicine, the experience of hospital management, the research and experience of medical education and continuing education, to carry out academic exchanges at home and abroad, and to promote the development of the cause of medicine and health. It mainly publishes the clinical research results of medical specialties and related disciplines, as well as the basic research results and advances that are closely related to the clinic, focusing on evidence-based medicine, precision medicine, regenerative medicine, translational medicine and other cutting-edge clinical disciplines, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary integration, diagnosis and treatment of difficult, critical and emergency cases. Founded in 1986, West China Medicine is a statistical source journal of Chinese scientific and technological papers (Chinese scientific and technological core journals), a class A journal of Sichuan Province health system, and is included in Chinese Biomedical Journal Literature Database (CMCC), China Full-text Journal Database (CFJD), China Academic Journals Comprehensive Evaluation Database (CAJCED), and Ullrich's Guide to Ullrich's Journals in the United States.

《华西医学》（月刊）是由中华人民共和国教育部主管、四川大学主办的综合性医学学术刊物。其办刊宗旨是：报道医学各专业以及相关学科的科研成果、临床医学各科诊疗经验、医院管理经验、医学教育与继续教育研究与经验，开展国内外学术交流，促进医药卫生事业的发展。主要刊登医学专业和相关学科的临床研究成果，以及与临床联系紧密的基础研究成果与进展，聚焦循证医学、精准医学、再生医学、转化医学等前沿临床学科发展方向，强调多学科整合、疑难危急重症诊治。以从事医药卫生工作的各级人员和医学院校的师生为主要读者对象。本刊设有述评、专家论坛、指南解读、论著、公共卫生决策、医院管理与教学、综述、病例解读、病例报道等栏目。 《华西医学》创刊于1986年，是中国科技论文统计源期刊（中国科技核心期刊），四川省卫生系统A类期刊，被中文生物医学期刊文献数据库（CMCC）、中国期刊全文数据库（CFJD）、中国学术期刊综合评价数据库（CAJCED）、美国乌里希期刊指南等收录。
