It caused significant reduction in plasma insulin, heart rate and superoxide dismutase. The eight-week </span></span>treatment of </span></span></span><em>F.</em> <em>religiosa</em><span> started after induction of six weeks of diabetes, the treatment significantly improved diabetic markers, oxidative stress, inflammatory and cardiac markers.
