Mechanism of adhesion of resole phenolics to cellulosic materials
Resole phenol adhesives are widely used as wood adhesives. We report a further investigation of the interaction of phenol adhesives with cellulose, where the effects of alkalinity, cellulose type, and the amount of absorbed water on the cristallinity were studied.
