This research aims to provide a summary of energy storage and to determine the feasibility and optimal battery storage technology for a 3-bedroom house when integrated with renewable generation source such as solar PV. This research was carried out by using a renewable energy system analysis tool called HOMER pro, solar PV were modelled and simulated with each type of battery, lithium ion and lead-acid batteries, in grid-connected mode.
