The local current, at a given point of the electrode, is supposed to be a function only of interfacial process kinetics and of transport possibilities of charges and active species at this point. Determination of species fluxes having been obtained through rheolectric analogy, it is then possible to design a circuit simulating the electrode in the steady state. Validity of such a circuit may be evaluated by adding capacitive terms. The transient behaviour of the equivalent circuit so obtained may be compared with that of the porous electrode under study.
