VCSEL-based 100m 25Gb/s plastic optical fiber links
We report error-free performance at 25Gb/s using a directly-modulated 850nm VCSEL over 100m graded-index perfluorinated plastic optical fiber with good launch offset tolerance. Bandwidth assessment of 18 fibers demonstrates that modern POF can achieve this performance.
