Conventionally, state estimation is an offline method for visualization of power system states. Microgrid are dynamic networks with rapidly changing scenarios. The offline or static state estimates fall behind the actual states of microgrid. Thus, this paper proposes a real time state estimation for microgrids using synchrophasors. Due to high sampling rates of PMU, the data measured through it provide the means for online visualization of microgrid. The real time state estimation is implemented using PMU in Real Time Digital Simulator (RTDS) environment. The proposed method is applied on a modified 14 bus test microgrid.
