RISKS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF MODERN AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION IN TERMS OF DIGITALIZATION

The article describes the author’s definition of the conceptsustainable development of agrarian production «is the ability of economic entities to continuously and dynamically maintain a rational proportionality between the factors of reproduction and the necessary pace of its development in conditions of uncertainty and variability of © Ярмоленко Ю., 2018 247 the environment in order to continuously meet the needs of the population in food products and consumer goods produced from agricultural raw materials in the present time, and in the future, while taking into account the responsibility for creating the necessary social conditions and prevention of environmental pollution. The aim of the article is to study and analyze possible risks influence on agrarian production situation within sustainable development conditions. One of the hypotheses of the study is grounding the necessity to reach activity sustainability of particular industries and the country as a whole. Within the study, implementation of digital platforms and defining risks linked to its implementation are seen as a tool for providing sustainability of social-economic development of the agrarian sphere. Taking into consideration exportoriented economy of Ukraine and its dependence from import at the same time, its transformation must be done within global economic and technological trends which are currently connected to economy digitalization. The accent is that digitalization should promote the development of infrastructure, increase the efficiency of agriculture, create new jobs, reduce the digital divide between rural and urban areas, and ensure the suspension of migration from rural to urban areas. Substantiated the main threats associated with digitalisation are the following: cyber security; data protection; monopolization of economic power; aggravation of social problems; intensification of competition between digital business ecosystems; inconsistency of normative base and modern digital technologies; lag of education and professional skills from digital realities.
