Formation of C/Zn C/Ni Nanocomposites for Potential Application in Electrodes of LIB
The paper describes growth mechanisms of porous carbon nanostructures, and C/Zn, C/Ni nanocomposites formation. The developed by us technological approach is based on the self-organization of small relative supersaturations of deposited vapors. On the first stage, porous Zn and Ni nanosystems have been obtained. Then they were subsequently used as precursors for the deposition of porous turbostratic graphite. Based on the comprehensive studies of the obtained porous C/Zn and C/Ni composites, it has been shown that the prerequisites for the nucleation and growth of carbon nanowires, fibers, or diamond inclusions are created on the local areas of the growing turbostratic graphite. A conclusion is made about the possibility of using the technological approach described in work for creating electrodes of lithium-ion batteries (LIB).
