It’s based on mixed method, the research object was 23 children, 5 to 6 years of age in a private kindergarten in Pingtung. They participated the board game courses 8 times. Before and after board game courses, instruction assessments used in the study included the Social Emotional Development Questionnaire for Children, which measures children’s social and emotional competence. According to the results of the analysis, the conclusions are as follows: (1) The researchers can use the ADDIE model to develop the “Emotional Hot Air Balloon\"\" board game. (2) Emotional board games can enhance preschool children’s emotional and social competence, including emotional awareness, emotional understanding, emotional express, sociability.
