This research is a Research Development (R and D) with qualitative descriptive research design. Participants of this study were teachers and students of grade V SDIT Mutiara Bunda Kota Pariaman. Instruments of this research are questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The results showed that teachers and students needed English-based teaching materials based on character education. The teaching material needed is a teaching material that is easy to understand and comprehend and it can be used by teachers and students. In addition, the teaching materials are also able to make students active, creative, and communicative. Moreover, the attitude the students wants are a confident attitude, responsibility, and love to to work hard. 摘要

本研究旨在运用全生理反应(Total Physical Response, TPR)的方法,描述基于品格教育的英语教材,并找出英语教材的需求。本研究是采用定性描述性研究设计的研究开发(r&d)。本研究的研究对象为小学五年级Mutiara Bunda Kota Pariaman的师生。本研究的工具是问卷调查、访谈和观察。结果表明,教师和学生都需要以品格教育为基础的英语教材。所需要的教材是一种易于理解和理解的教材,可以供教师和学生使用。此外,教材还能使学生积极主动、勇于创新、善于交际。此外,学生们想要的态度是一种自信的态度,责任和爱努力。因此,可以得出结论,英语教材的开发需要使用基于品格教育的全身体反应(TPR)方法
