Theopinionsandmediahabitsofyoungadults,aged18-25currentlyresidingandstudyingintwo metropolisesofIndia,Bengaluru(Bangalore)andChennai(Madras)vis-à-visclimatechangehave beenelicitedandinterpreted.Asurveyof500randomlyselectedcollegeanduniversitystudents studyingandresidinginthesetwometropoliseshaverevealedaheightenedconcernfortheglobal environmentandclimatechangeissuesamongyouth.Theextentofinformationtherespondentshad onclimatechangeissueswasconsiderable.Therespondentsreliedmoreonsocialmedia,especially blogsandnetworkinggroupsforinformationonclimatechange,thanthetraditionalmassmedia. Gender,economicstatus,courseofstudy,andparentaleducationweresomeoftheimportantvariables stronglyassociatedwithknowledgeaboutclimatechangeissues.
