Literature review on various control strategies for hybrid photovoltaic and fuel cell power generating systems
A great deal of research has been conducted to make the renewable resources more efficient and easy to use. One of the great deal of research is been conducted on the use of photovoltaic cell and the fuel cells in the recent days. This paper gives an introduction to the hybrid energy system for the photovoltaic cell and the fuel cell for supplying the energy to the isolated areas. This technique can be future used for the autonomous integration of the renewable resources. The hybrid power system, consist of the photovoltaic cell and Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC). This type of the combination is found to be the most efficient type in the renewable energy sources. The idea of this review is to describe the different control strategies for the sharing of the electricity; generated with the PV panels and the PEMFC; amongst the loads. Now, during the day cycle of the sun, when the sun shines, the load is fed by the PV system. The PEMFC is considered as a secondary source to full-fill the required energy sources. The work of The FC comes into the cycle of the play when the weather situation during the day time is not favorable, or during the night time. The system of supply maintains a constant output voltage sufficient for the load connected, which controls the power system. In this paper different techniques are briefly reviewed for control strategy for the Hybrid PV-FC power generating system.
