The electromagnetic flowmeter is basically and mostly used across the world for stream rate measurement of conductive fluid. But it is bulky in size and costly. In this article, we have proposed an alternative flow rate measurement technique for conductive fluid. The polarization-based flow meter has been developed in which four metallic electrodes are inserted across the measuring pipe—the polarization impedance forms when electrodes, which is metallic, come in contact with a conductive fluid. The terminal polarization impedance changes with the conductive fluid flow variation, and this is used as an estimating parameter. The proposed flow meters possess better sensitivity and linearity.
