It is unquestionable that during the last decades the use of ICT has increased in the education field, this driven by the dictated policies through organizations such as UNESCO, that promote the importance of innovating the teaching process, improve learning, to democratize education and for students to acquire the skills that the actual and future workforce will demand from them; Nevertheless the health contingency caused by COVID-19 that forced schools to transition from in person instruction and a hybrid to an online model, it demonstrated several shortages and problems. For example, the lack of technological equipment, the limited connectivity to the internet, the training of faculty for the design and administration of virtual classrooms.
