PDB was used as the surface modifying agent. It was observed that the dielectric constant of the PDB modified BT-PVDF composite films exhibited higher dielectric constant (160) and relatively lower loss value < 1 at 1000 Hz. The dielectric and electrical parameters of the composite films were studied by using the complex impedance spectroscopy technique in a wide range of frequency at room temperature. The impedance plot suggested the contribution of both bulk phenomenon and grain boundary effect in the composites. The variation of AC electrical conductivity with frequency perfectly obeyed Jonscher's universal power law. The microstructural study revealed the uniformity in distribution of particles in correlation with high dielectric constant and low loss value.
