Electron paramagnetic resonance of Sm3+ ions on trigonal sites in CaF2
A new paramagnetic resonance spectrum has been observed from Sm3+ ions in CaF2 on sites having trigonal symmetry. The principal g values are g∥ = 0.415 ±0.0001 and g⊥ = 0.934 ± 0.001.
