Numerical calculations of enhanced transmission through sub-wavelength apertures
Finite difference time domain (FDTD) solutions of Maxwell's equations are presented which reveal the nature of the recent observation of anomalously high optical transmission through metal films with sub-wavelength apertures in surface corrugations.
