Inspite of the government vision for these producer companies are in many places observed to be struggling. The sustainability and business viability of these producer companies are in doubt and hence it is believed that training intervention shall help them to overcome these problems by offering certain training interventions. This study is an attempt to identify the training needs and gaps in the existing training modules. It is observed that though the respondents have expressed their satisfaction regarding training intervention in areas such as post harvest technology and market led extension but at the same time the respondent training needs for productivity enhancement, socio economic sustainability, linkages, compliances and monitoring cannot be ignored and needs to be addressed.
