The design requirements and critical parameter was analyzed. The non-linear design and analysis of a permanent magnet DC motor was performed in 2-D Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software. Specification and sizing was arrived on the requirement of propeller characteristics. Initially the design was analytically arrived and analyzed through Motor solve FEA software from infolytica. The parameters were further optimized to achieve the required objective. Critical key parameters such a speed, torque, power was accounted in the analysis.
