The literature review in this study contains the theoretical concepts contained in the research, namely alliances, security dilemmas, and missiles. The framework explains that the United States and South Korea are in an alliance because of security issues that continue to this day. The conclusion of this study is that the United States-South Korea alliance handles the North Korean issue of SLBM (Submarine Launched Ballistic Missiles) to be able to refrain from North Korean provocations. Suspicion from the United States that is also getting stronger will try to warn of possible North Korean aggressive actions and continue to try to have a diplomatic dialogue.
