Der YouthCityExplorer- ein webbasiertes Instrument zur Erhebung sozialräumlicher Informationen von und mit Kindern und Jugendlichen / The YouthCityExplorer - A Web-based Tool for the Standardized Collection of Socio-spatial-data with Youth
In urban planning processes, youth is regarded as underrepresented so far. Strategies and instruments for the concrete consideration of socio-spatial concerns of young people with their spatial demands within an urban context are lacking. Therefore, the web-based survey tool, ‘YouthCityExplorer’, was designed. It is implemented with Survey123 for ArcGIS by Esri and allows the collection of geospatial data employing a map-based questionnaire jointly within a digital pin mapping of favourite and avoided places. The YCE is a new participatory tool for youth to negotiate spatial needs in terms of the spatial citizenship approach. The tool was evaluated within a pretest during the summer term 2019 and revised after.
