This paper is based on the theory of teacher professional development, the theory of lifelong learning, action research and the theory of constructivism. Method: In this paper, we use the method of literature, questionnaire and data analysis. Result: It is found that the professional development of English teachers in rural middle school has some problems in their own educational beliefs, discipline and professional knowledge and ability. At the same time, the external environment of the school, education authorities and other external environment have a greater impact on the development of teachers.
