A Pilot Study on Domestic Wastewater Treatment with A/O MBR Systems
Anoxic/aerobic (A/O) membrane bioreactor (MBR) process, which is based on the MBR technic, is an effective method of wastewater treatment. In this study, two chief operation indexes of A/O MBR system are studied and optimized. The final results shows that, under the operation condition that the HRT rate between anoxic and aerobic zone is 1:3 (which in this system is: 4.5h in aerobic zone, 1.5h in anoxic zone), and the IR rate is 300%Q, the COD, NH3 and TN removal effects reach the best. In the optimized system, the COD of effluent is below 30mg/L; NH3-N is kept lower than 10mg/L; and TN is lower than 40mg/L. the effluent reaches the standards of water reuse
