Spritzbarer, säurebeständiger Epoxidharzmörtel für die Instandsetzung von abwassertechnischen Anlagen / Dry-Sprayed Polymer Concrete with High Acid Resistance for the Rehabilitation of Sewage Systems
Biogenic sulphuric acid, as it is formed e. g. at the ceiling of sewage pipes, can severely damage unprotected concrete structures and limit the service life. Today, no durable and at the same time affordable system exists that allows protecting the concrete under such aggressive conditions. To compensate this, a new, dry-sprayed polymer concrete for the rehabilitation of damaged sewage systems was developed by a combined effort of the Institute of Building Materials Research and Massenberg GmbH. In this paper, we describe the parameters relevant for the dry-spraying of polymer concrete as well as the technical properties of the concrete. The results show the excellent properties and the potential of the sprayed polymer concrete for the rehabilitation of sewage systems.
