Modeling and simulations of the low-voltage distribution system integrated with energy storage systems in Kinmen Island
Energy storage systems for power system applications have currently attracted significant interest and attention as an enabling technology for integrating the growing capacity of distributed energy resources into the electric grid. Energy storage systems can provide a variety of solutions for the enhancement of the operational capabilities of the electric grid. This paper presents the modeling and simulations study for a low-voltage distribution system integrated with energy storage systems in Kinmen Island that is a pilot location for developing energy storage systems in Taiwan. The real-time simulation technology that provides the better simulation efficiency is used as well, and the results for the studied system are reported.
