The converter controller has been manipulated by a PC host computer to order all requests to control and regulation. The field-oriented method and the direct torque control method have been used in an experiment drive in the laboratory of the Department of Electrical Machines, Apparatus and Drives. The basic properties and possibilities of both methods were experimentally verified.
