Analysis of the working ability of Tripping Coil on the 150kV Bay Capacitor power breaker at the Kotabumi Substation, aims to determine the cause of the decrease in the working ability of Tripping Coil and extend the Life Time of Tripping Coil. The final measurement results obtained the value of Tripping Coil resistance 1 phasa R 26.5Ω with Vnom (nominal voltage) calculated is 74.2 Vdc and Tripping Coil resistance 1 phasa T 26.1Ω with Vnom (nominal voltage) calculated is 74.2 Vdc which means it is still below the PLN standard (<77Vdc). From the analysis of research on Tripping Coil equipment, it is found that the tightness of the Tripping Coil terminals affects the measured value of coil resistance. Then the amount of voltage flowing into the coil affects the movement of the coil rod. The smaller the voltage flowing on the coil, the weaker the rod coil moves. However, the greater the voltage flowing on the coil, the faster and stronger the rod coil will move (but adversely affect the coil).
