Application of photomixing of multimode LD light on THz spectroscopy
A low-cost spectrometer can be constructed utilizing the intensity fluctuation in the CW multimode LD light. The frequency range of the light intensity fluctuation of the LD is limited by its spectral width. If a pair of light beams from two LDs with different center wavelengths is mixed, a higher frequency component appears. This method is applied to the low-cost spectrometer using the multimode LD.
