Performance Tests of Polyethylene Insulated High Voltage Low Attenuation Coaxial Cables for Pulsed Applications
In order to evaluate the strength as well as the weak points of different high voltage low attenuation polyethylene (PE) coaxial cables without semiconducting layers for pulsed applications, performance tests have been carried out. The gained knowledge shall help to produce an improved cable, suitable for the special requirements of the fast-pulsed high voltage kicker systems at CERN.
