Biblical Themes in Milton and Noli’s Works (Similarities and Differencies)

The echo and the impact of biblical and antique themes had long been studied in European literatures and cultures. Lately, these themes are also being studied in Albanian literature. Biblical themes have had a considerable impact on the Albanian writers, such as: Father Gjergj Fishata, His Eminence Vincenc Prenushi, Father Shtjefen Gjecovi and especially on Fan S. Noli. Therefore, the main aim of this paper is to discuss and analyze the impact of biblical themes in Milton and Noli‟s literary and artistic works by using Comparative literature methods. Milton and Noli‟s works have become not only part of the biblical codes of their national literatures and traditions but they have also become part of the European biblical code and European literatures. Hence, to this end, analogies, similarities, differences, modifications and discordances of biblical themes in Milton and Noli‟s biblical themes will be discussed, treated and analyzed.
