Transformations in the traditional parental role adjusted to current social dynamics that demand new positions, ideas and practices of parents inupbringing processes. In the exercise of the parental role, surrogate parents assume parental guidelines, beliefs and upbringing practices, based on their involvement in the lives of adolescents.
