Antimicrobial activity of obioactin

In-vitro digestion of certain bacteria in mouse peritoneal macrophages was accelerated in the presence of the agent being three to ten times stronger than that in untreated macrophages.

Inhibitory effect of Obioactin on in-vitro infectivity of viruses was suggested.
