Optical density of this protein sample were measured at different molecular weight ranges like 50-60 k.Da, 30-40 k.Da and 14-20 k.Da in different groups of human subjects. Concentration of this protein sample is direct proportional to optical density. The basic method of protein estimation in saliva is SDS-PAGE (sodium dodecyl sulfate- polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis).
