The impact on urban environment in Xinjiang is mainly attributed to the sand-dust weather in the multiple sand-dust seasons. The variation trend is in conformity with that of the sand-dust weather. Upon the occurrence of the sand-dust weather, PM10 of the city increases sharply. The sand-dust aerosol turns into the most important pollutant. In the multiple sand-dust seasons, the sand-dust aerosol is the primary pollutant.
