Founded in 1987, Journal of Nuclear Agricultural Sciences (ISSN 1000-8551, CN 11-2265/S), formerly known as Application on Atomic Energy in Agriculture and Yuanzineng Nongye Yicong founded in 1980, is a comprehensive and academic publication primarily supervised by Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China and jointly sponsored by Chinese Society of Nuclear Agricultural Sciences and Institute of Food Science & Technology, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (former Institute for Application to Atomic Energy). through a strict peer review system, Journal of Nuclear Agricultural Sciences has been selected into A Guide to the Core Journal of China of Peking University, The Key Magazine, Chinese Science Citation Database of China Technology, RCCSE core and authoritative academic journals and the core journals of China agriculture for consecutive years and included into foreign database such as Chemical Abstracts (USA) and Japan Science & Technology Corporation (Japan).
Journal of Nuclear Agricultural Sciences is published monthly at home and abroad. At present, it covers three columns, namely Induced Mutations for Plant Breeding·Agricultural Biotechnology, Food Irradiation·Food Science, and Isotope Tracer Technique·Ecology and Environment·Physiology, which mainly publish the application of nuclear technology in agriculture and the innovative research in other agriculture-related fields, including various radiation-induced mutation genetic and breeding technique, food irradiation processing and isotope tracer technique, as well as academic papers and reviews about agricultural products and food storage and processing, molecular biology, environmental protection, ecological agriculture, agricultural biotechnology, water-saving agriculture, etc.
