The levels of tumour necrosis factor (TNF)-α were detected in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF). We monitored the expression of interleukin (IL)-6 and autophagy-related genes in lung tissues. H&E staining showed pathological changes in HFD group coincided with the increase of TNF-α levels in the bronchoalveolar fluid compared to the normal rats. Our results showed the up-regulation of IL-6, becline-1, LC3 and P62 in the HFD group compared to the Control group.
