The São Caetano melon is the target of several studies because it is proven that phytochemical properties of this palnata have antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory, antiulcerogenic, antibacterial, immunosuppressive, antihypertensive and anticancer properties, presenting a low degree of toxicity. In this study it was reported that many compounds from the São Caetano melon induced sick cells to apoptosis, autophagy and cell regression in different types of cancer, proving the action of plant extracts thus inducing a total cure or reduction of cancer. 摘要
