This study aims to seek the adaptability of previously established design procedures for the continuously evolving design freedoms offered by additive manufacturing. An algorithm to implement this procedure has also been presented wherein necessary freedoms can be introduced to choose a specific parameter to be optimized with the associated optimization criterion. This paper also discusses the possible approaches for basic calculations of synchronous reluctance machines. The choice of a specific machine type influences various variables and procedures individually.
