Overall, the industry’s growth trend as captured by Trade Map (2016) showed an upward progression from 29th amongst exporter countries in 2005 to 14th in 2015. As a result of this growth, the Turkish Furniture Industry employed 229,915 individuals in 2016 and made a 3.6% contribution to global furniture production, amounting to US$12.5 billion in the same year.
