The resulting material was methylated and fractionated to yield pure methylated galactan which on hydrolysis gave 2,3,4,6-tetra-, 2,3,6-tri-, and 2,3-di-O-methyl-D-galactose. Polysaccharide material containing 91·2% galactose, was isolated by separating the crude pectic substance on a DEAE–cellulose column followed by fractionation. Periodate oxidation studies were carried out on these two galactan-rich fractions. 摘要
用聚半乳糖醛酸酶处理洋葱果胶,用70%乙醇分别提取半乳糖醛酸和阿拉伯糖。所得物质经甲基化和分馏得到纯甲基化半乳糖,水解得到2,3,4,6-四-,2,3,6-三-和2,3-二- o -甲基-d -半乳糖。采用deae -纤维素柱分离粗果胶,再进行分馏,得到了含91.2%半乳糖的多糖物质。对这两种富含半乳糖的馏分进行了高碘酸盐氧化研究。根据这些结果,讨论了半乳糖的重复单元的结构。
