IBS phenotype associated with obesity and overweight: treatment tactics for patient-centered management
One of the most urgent problems of modern healthcare in Russia and worldwide is the increase in the number of people with overweight and obesity. It is generally recognized that overweight and obesity increase the risk of coronary heart disease, hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus, cholelithiasis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). At the same time, recent data indicate that pathomorphism of other chronic non-infectious diseases was also noted during preserving trend towards an increase in the obesity prevalence, for which the presence of overweight or obesity was not considered a traditional risk factor.
