Supply and demand unbalance would lead to unstable frequency, in particular in isolated island systems, and system accidents would cause a serious situation. This work simulates the demand response that is applied in the isolated Penghu Island system, and a designed demand response is applied in the system every 1s. The result shows that demand response can effectively reduce the effects caused by accidents and improve system reliability and security.
