The water samples were analyzed for physico-chemical parameters and light and dark bottle method used to quantify productivity. The results indicated that productivity greater than respiration showed positive relationship with required biomass at wetland sites to productivity. The primary producers constitute a significant position in trophic limit in wetlands and showed fluctuations in net and gross primary production along with community respiration and chlorophyll content. These parameters exhibited bimodal fluctuations in primary productivity during summer and winter seasons except monsoon period.
