Special emphasis is placed on the premises of the formation of a quality management system in the conditions of development of the higher education system of the Kyrgyz Republic. It is noted that until now there are no regulatory documents regulating the choice of one of the models of the quality management system in higher education. Educational institutions have the right to choose a model for the formation of a quality management system. The authorselected the main problems of the current state of education quality management in higher educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic. Based on the analysis, were proposed specific ways and directions of work in order to improve the quality of education based on quality management.
