This research can be classified into quasi-experimental research using the pre-test and post-test design. The subject of this research was class D of the second semester students majoring in English Education, FBS, Unima 2018/2019 consist of 31 students as experimental class and E class which consist of 32 students as the control class. The result show the use of jigsaw model in English reading comprehension is more effective than learning using conventional media. This is evidence by the value of the weight of effectiveness of 14.36%. From this result, the research conclude that the use of Jigsaw model can improve students’ reading understanding.
